1. Purpose of Service

UK Data Protection Registry (the "Company", "we", "us") acts as an independent commercial check-and-send filing agent. We process registrations and renewals of the statutory Data Protection Fee with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) on behalf of businesses and organisations.

We are a private commercial entity. We are not affiliated, associated, or endorsed by the ICO, Companies House, or any UK government department.

2. Fees and Pass-Through Charges

Our service packages bundle the statutory government registration fee (currently £40.00 for Tier 1 or £60.00 for Tier 2) with our proprietary compliance software, automated renewal monitoring, and website GDPR policy drafting tools. By checking out, you authorise us to distribute the statutory portion of the fee directly to the ICO on your behalf.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Due to the instant and non-refundable nature of government filing submissions, cancellations cannot be processed once the registration details have been submitted to the ICO.

If you request a cancellation prior to your submission being processed (e.g. during your 3-day holding period), we will issue a full refund. To request cancellation, contact support at support@mg.ukdataprotectionregistry.co.uk.

4. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to verify compliance status and submit registrations in a timely manner, we are not liable for any regulatory enforcement actions, audits, or fines issued to your business by the ICO due to late filings, incorrect information supplied during checkout, or automation failures.
